Friday, May 17, 2019

ROCHESTER, NY, U.S.A. – AMETEK Power Instruments, a recognized leader in Transient Fault and Disturbance Recorders for electrical utilities, exceeds the Disturbance Monitoring and Reporting Requirements of PRC-002-2, by providing more than adequate data available to facilitate analysis of Bulk Electric System (BES) Disturbances.

AMETEK Fault Recorders provide Sequence of Event Recording, Fault Recording, Dynamic Disturbance Recording and Time Synchronization options in all Fault Recorder platforms that not only meet but exceed the PRC-002-2 requirements. This in turn allows the Utilities to meet their obligations as per the PRC-002-2 reporting requirements.

The TR-3000 multi-function recorder exceeds the PRC-002-2 requirements by performing the job of several devices simultaneously including Sequence of Event Recording, Transient Fault Recording, Dynamic Disturbance Recording and Time Synchronization (GPS, IRIG-B, NTP options) and in addition an exclusive Continuous Transient Oscillography (CTO) mode that provides waveform recording at up to 32 samples per cycle for up to 64 days (licensing option) to ensure you never miss a power system anomaly on your smart grid.
