JEMStar II Revenue Meter a breeze, which is why it comes equipped with our intuitive JEMWARE II software. We designed our software with metering personnel in mind and most can learn the basics in just one hour.
JEMWARE II can be used off-line or on-line so you can build configurations without having the meter connected. All the JEMStar II meter set up is done within the software, eliminating the need to open up the meter and set jumpers or switches. We further simplify meter operation with our graphic color display that has a user menu for viewing and editing your meter configurations. The meter’s graphic color display makes it easy to view measurements, phasor diagrams and status indicators. In addition to viewing these on the meter display, they can also be viewed remotely through the software.
Utilizing JEMWARE II, the meter can be switched into test mode. The test mode is always available through the meter display or users can be given access to this option based on user rights that are fully controllable within the software.
Username and password combinations are required to access your secure data and configuration details. The meter communications are password protected to prevent unauthorized access and audit logs store all access attempts. The log includes the username and time and date of attempts at meter connection, configuration, firmware changes and data access. Additionally, JEMStar II includes DLMS protocol, which not only requires a client ID and password for access to the meter, but also includes three different account levels that enable the user the following options: 1. Read only 2. Read and set the date and time with approved password 3. Read all DLMS objects and logs with approved password. All these security features satisfy NERC CIPS requirements.
The JEMStar II can provide alarm notification using web-based JSON messages, contact outputs, communication protocols and third-party software. The alarms can be initiated from an alarm trigger to indicate outages and other power quality conditions. Within the meter software, email notification can be set up to send for events such as triggers, battery status, time synchronization and more. These are fully configurable with options to send periodic updates or in live time.
